In the portfolio of the newest flagships that Vivo has to offer, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus is the smartphone that stands out as being head and shoulders above the competition. It has been a goal of Vivo’s for some time now to break into the premium flagship market, and with the release of the Vivo X70 Pro Plus, it appears that the company may have finally achieved this goal.
The previous generation of flagship smartphones from Vivo, such as the Vivo X60 Pro, provided us with a glimpse of what the company is capable of accomplishing in collaboration with the lens manufacturer Zeiss. However, the firm has really struck the mark with the current generation of flagship smartphones. And the cost of the smartphone demonstrates the trust that the corporation has in its product.

Vivo X70 Pro Plus: Design
The size of the X70 Pro Plus is one of the first things you’ll notice about it. For comparison, it’s a little taller and wider than the already big OPPO Find X3 Pro, and it’s about the same height as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra but a little smaller, but it feels more comfortable to hold than Samsung’s phone. Still, it’s a lot bigger than the X60 Pro Plus, and if you have small hands like we do, you’ll find it hard to reach the top third of the screen. We like backs that aren’t made of glass or plastic, so we were a little sad to hear that vivo took the fake leather back off of the X60 Pro Plus. You can buy this phone from its official website
Display and Audio
With a high brightness of 1,500 nits, the screen on the Vivo X70 Pro Plus is one of the brightest on any smartphone. This means that even at 75% of its maximum brightness, the 6.7-inch WQHD E5 AMOLED 3D curved display is bright enough to read outside during the day.
The screen on the Vivo X70 Pro Plus has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels, LTPO technology, a touch response rate of 300Hz, HDR 10 Plus approval, SGS Eye care technology, a 10-bit color depth, and support for 1.07 billion colors. Because of these things, it’s one of the best screens out there.
Most of the other flagship phones have lower resolution screens than the Vivo X70 Pro Plus. This means that pictures made on the Vivo X70 Pro Plus are sharper than those made on the other phones. Aside from that, the colors and brightness of the screen are top-notch. The HDR10 Plus technology on the screen makes movies and pictures look as real as they can.
Vivo X70 Pro Plus: Camera
Vivo hasn’t been on anyone’s mind when it comes to smartphone camera rankings for a few years, but the company is ready to make good on its promise and has done a lot of research and development.
This phone has a 50Mp main camera, a 48Mp ultrawide camera, a 12Mp 2x zoom lens, and an 8Mp 5x zoom lens on the back. All four cameras have optical image stabilization (OIS), and the ultrawide camera also has Vivo’s own miniaturized gimbal technology for extra steadiness.
Performance & Battery
The Vivo X70 Pro Plus has features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus CPU, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and Extended RAM 2.0. Compared to the Snapdragon 888, the Plus version has a faster Hexagon 780 AI Engine and a higher clock speed of 3GHz.
This means that it can do everything that any other top-of-the-line smartphone can do, and it does. Some of the best camera tech for smartphones is built into these internals, and it’s a lot of fun to play games on these phones.
The battery life isn’t terrible. The phone will last a day of normal use, which includes reading the web, using social media, listening to Spotify, and using the camera a little bit, but it won’t have a lot of power left over. I worry that after a year or two of heavy use, this won’t really be an all-day phone anymore, but it’s hard to say for sure, and to be fair, the same could be said about most other top phones.
Final Words
The X70 Pro+ is an excellent piece of technology. You’ll get great speed, fast charging, and a gorgeous screen, plus one of the best cameras in any phone right now, and we mean that. There are some bad things. This is the first Vivo premium phone we haven’t liked the look of in a few years.
The company made some bad design decisions that we hope they’ll fix in the next generation. It still has trouble with its software, which has a hard-to-use interface and a lot of extra features that get in the way of a good experience elsewhere.
