Step 1. First of all, click on the Search icon and type Services.

Step 3. Now look for a service named Windows Update and right-click on it.
Step 4. You will see an option to Stop the update service. Click on it.
Step 5. That’s it! Now you’re done. This will stop the Windows Update service, and the updates won’t be downloaded unless you enable this again.
