FEATool Multiphysics: review and short description
FEATool is a fully integrated multiphysical modeling and engineering simulation environment for Matlab and Octave, with built-in CAD and geometry tools, roughing and grids, solvers and post-processing and visualization.
Several predefined physics modes are available that can be easily combined to set up various multiphysical simulation problems including fluid flow (computational fluid dynamics CFD), heat transfer, structural stresses, electrostatics, reaction and transport of mass and chemical species. In addition, users can also specify their own custom equations and physics modes.
FEATool is written entirely in Octave and Matlab m-script source code, and is fully documented with more than 50 model examples and tutorials. In addition, the Matlab FEM function library is fully documented, open and designed to be easy to use. This approach makes FEATool extensible, customizable and adaptable to the needs of each user.
