Check the Dropbox process

Make sure the files you need to sync aren’t open;

Disable selective sync

Right-click the Dropbox icon on the Windows taskbar.

Select “Selective Sync” and make sure the folder containing the file is not selected.

Clear Dropbox Cache

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Dropbox folder.

Find the .Dropbox.cache folder inside the Dropbox folder.

Select all files in the cache folder and delete them.
