With Mac OS Catalina (v10.15.5), released in October 2019, Apple has delivered a great feature for MacBooks: Battery Health Management. The idea behind this is simple: preserve battery longevity for months and years. However, with Battery Health Management turned on – which is turned on by default when you run this software or any later – your Mac’s battery may not charge at full power to prevent accelerated chemical degradation. This makes sense in a long-term scenario, but not if you have a long drive ahead and want to fully charge the battery. So how can you disable battery management and charge it to 100%?
