How to Scan Windows PC for malware
To open it, you can simply type “Windows Security” in the Start menu search. You can also access it from “Settings” > “Privacy and Security” > “Windows Security”, which will give you a quick overview of your system’s status. You can then click on the “Open Windows Security” button button to get access to the full app.
Once you open it, here’s what you can do:
Step 1: To perform a manual scan, go to “Windows Security” and then “Virus and Threat Protection”,
Step 2: Click on the “Quick Check” option. If you want to perform a more comprehensive scan, which will take more time but will review all your files and operating programs, you can click the “Scan options” button and select “Full scan”.
