Per up parental controls in Windows 11, you and your child will need to have Microsoft accounts. Yours will be a parent account and theirs will be a child account linked to yours. As a parent account holder, you can enable parental controls and view reports related to your child’s activity. Here it is how to to define up parental controls in Windows 11:

  • Right-click the Windows icon on the taskbar.
  • Click Settings.
  • Click Accounts.
  • Click Family and other users.
  • Click Add a family member.
  • Click Create one for a child.
  • Enter an email address for your child and click Next.
  • Enter a password and click Next.
  • Enter a name and click Next.
  • Enter a birthday and click Next.
  • The child’s account will now be associated with your Microsoft account and a popup will appear to show that the process is complete.

    1. once you defined up at least one child account, you can limit your access to websites and apps, limit screen time, and receive weekly reports on your activities.
    2. Navigate to Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users as you did in the previous section.
