Disable All Windows 11 Notifications with the Settings Menu

Press Windows key + I to open up in the Settings menu in Windows 11.

Within the main Settings screen, use the menu on the left to click on System. If you don’t see the options by default, click the action button in the upper left corner.

Once inside the System tab, go to the right side menu and click on Notifications.

Then in the dedicated Notifications menu, set the toggle to OFF to disable notifications for all your apps, or set it to ON if you want to receive all notifications.

As soon as you change the toggle, the new behavior will apply (no need to restart). You can safely close the Settings screen at this point.

Turn All Windows 11 Notifications On or Off With Registry Editor

Press Windows key + R to open up a Run dialog box. Then type ‘regedit’ inside the text box that just appeared and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open up a Registry Editor page with administrator access.

When prompted by the User Account Control prompt, click Yes to grant administrative privileges.

Once inside the Registry Editor, use the left side menu to navigate to the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPushNotifications

Right-click on PushNotifications in the left menu and choose New > Dword Value (32-bit) from the context menu that just appeared.

Then go to the right pane and rename the newly created Dword to ToastEnabled by right clicking the item and choosing Rename.

Double-click the newly created ToastEnabled item and set the Base to Hexadecimal and the Value to 1, depending on what you want to accomplish:

Once the change is made, close Registry Editor and restart your PC to allow the changes to take effect.
