What are Release Tokens?

In The Outlast Trials, you need Release Tokens to buy your freedom. These are more rare items that you can only get by passing the tests set by Murkoff Facility. But it’s not that easy, because even though each trial is dangerous, hard, and takes a long time to finish, it doesn’t mean that the reward will be a Release Token.

This is because, as part of the program to change your character’s biology, you have to finish all of the trials that go with it. The Tokens are used to open the exit to the Murkoff Facility, which acts as a Rebirth Portal and takes players to another part of The Outlast Trials where the final trial takes place. At the desk by the exit, you need a total of 10 Release Tokens to pay for your freedom.

Why are Release Tokens important?

Release Tokens are a special currency that you can get by finishing the Program X trials. If you get 10 of them, you can give them to a certain NPC to open the way to the final trial. This is the last challenge, and if you beat it, the game will be over. Then, your character will start over again. It means that your Program X trials will start over, and you’ll be able to do them again. You will keep all your resources and things that make you look nice.

1. Patients can only get Release Tokens if they finish the full program that is given to them and do it well.
2. There are three different Maps to interact with in this program. Each Map has its own Assignments and Difficulties that must be completed as part of the trial.
3. The trial ends with a Final Exam that gives the highly sought-after Release Tokens.
4. You will have to do this process more than once to get the number of Tokens you need for your exit. Tokens are not given out just for completing individual trials within the program.
5. To get a Release Token, you must instead carefully work your way through every part of the program and pass the Final Exam.
6. As you finish the Final Exam for each Map, the Release Tokens you earn will be added to your character’s inventory, which you can easily access from the Progression Menu.
7. It’s important to know that completing Assignments and getting a good grade in the Trial won’t get you a Release Token on their own.
8. You must finish the whole program, including the Final Exam, in order to get Tokens for each Map.
9. So, to get enough Tokens to make your rebirth and departure easier, you will need to pass the Final Exam ten times, no matter which Map you use.
