The Dell P3223QE and its higher-end twin don’t look that different from each other, so the best way to tell them apart is to look at the screen’s resolution. The matte black and silver colour scheme of the monitor makes it look elegant and classic, so it wouldn’t look out of place in a studio or a high-end office. The display isn’t completely bezel-free, but the top and side edges have thinner borders that are less noticeable when using the screen.
It’s a big monitor, so you might want to think about how much space you have on your desk before you buy it. The Dell P3223DE has a 31.5-inch QHD IPS panel with a normal response time of 8ms and a refresh rate of 60Hz (5ms fast). When I first set up the monitor, we thought the colours were off. So we got out my Datacolor SpyderX Elite calibration tool and calibrated it. Everything looked much better after the calibration.
At first, the whites were a little off and the colours looked a little dull. Even so, business users may want the calibration right out of the box. The Dell P3223DE monitor shows colours in a natural way, with no oversaturation or strange HDR effects.
It does show 99% of the sRGB colour space. Even though the blacks are not completely black, they are good enough for light photo and video editing. The whites look great, and the text is sharp and easy to read.

The Dell P2723DE is very expensive for a 1440p 27-inch monitor, costing $495 in the US and £396 in the UK. Even though the price is high, the full-featured USB-C hub with ethernet and DisplayPort daisy chaining helps to make up for it. Compared to similar 4K monitors, like Dell’s own S2722QC, which offers full 4K and USB-C functionality, but not ethernet or daisy chaining, for less money, the price is hard to explain.
