How to Change Your Facebook Birthday and Age – Guide

People are often baffled by these changes as technology advances. So, in this article, you will learn how to change your birthday on Facebook on Android, iPhone and computer.

Change your birthday on the Facebook website

If you’re on a Windows, Mac, Linux or Chromebook computer, use the official Facebook website to change your birth date. To get started, open the Facebook website in a web browser on your computer. Log in to your account if you haven’t already.

  • When Facebook loads, click on your profile icon in the top right corner of the site.
  • On your profile page, in the tab bar below your name, select the “About” tab.
  • Select the “About” tab on the Facebook profile page.
  • From the options on the “About” tab, select “Basic and contact information”.
  • Select “Contact and Basic Information” from the “About” tab of your Facebook profile.
  • Scroll down in the right pane to the “Basic information” section. Here, next to your birth date, click on the pencil icon to edit your birth date.
  • You can now select a new birthday from the available drop-down menus. Use these menus to specify a new day, month or year.
  • Enter new birthday details on Facebook.
  • After entering the new birthday options, activate the option “I confirm that I am N years old” (where N is your age). Then click “Save”.
  • Save new birthday details to Facebook.

    • Facebook has now updated your birthday information!

    Change your birthday on an iPhone, iPad, or Android app

    On portable devices like iPhone, iPad and Android, use the official Facebook app to change your birthday information. To use this method, first launch the Facebook app installed on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone.

    Note: The steps below are for the Facebook Android app. The steps vary slightly for iPhone and iPad. In the Facebook app, in the upper right corner, tap the three horizontal lines.

  • Open the menu in the Facebook app.
  • Facebook will open a “Menu” screen. Here, tap your profile at the top.
  • Select the user’s profile on the Facebook “Menu” screen.
  • Scroll down your profile screen and just above your friends list, tap the “See your info about” option.
  • Tap “See your info about” on the Facebook app’s profile page.
  • Scroll the “About” screen to the “Basic Information” section. Then tap “Edit” next to “Basic information.”
  • Tap “Edit” next to “Basic information” in the Facebook app.
  • In the “Birthday” section of the “Edit Basic Information” screen, enter your new birthday details. Tap the “Day”, “Month” and “Year of birth” drop-down menus to enter these details.
  • Then activate the option “I confirm that I am N years old” (where N is your age) right below the drop-down menus. Finally, in the upper right corner of the app, select “Save”.
  • Save new birthday details in the Facebook app.
  • Your birthday on Facebook is now up to date.
