How to Clear Netflix’s Con­tin­ue Watch­ing List – Guide

When you start watching a movie or TV show on Netflix and don’t finish it, it usually appears on the “Continue Watching” line. The Netflix algorithm assumes that you want to finish watching the movie because you started it. Even if you only saw the first few minutes. Of course, sometimes that’s not the case, and the reason you don’t keep watching a show or movie is because you just don’t like it and don’t want to.

In these cases, it can be a little irritating that shows you don’t want to keep watching are in the “Keep Watching” queue. Fortunately, there is a way to remove these programs from the queue.

  • Click on your profile icon in the upper right section and select “Account”.
  • In the “Profile and Parental Controls” section, click the dropdown icon to the right of your profile.
  • Find the “Activity Preview” section in the list of options and click “Preview.”
  • The list of “watching” items appears, but includes all watched items, including completed ones. You CANNOT delete items, but you can hide them. Click on the “cut circle” icon to the right of the listed item you want to hide.
  • To remove all watched items, go to the final from the list and click “Hide All”.

  • Select “Remove” to confirm that you want to remove the title from the “Continue Watching” line.
