Set Up a New Windows Account

Uninstall Zoom from your current Windows user profile as described in steps one through three of resolution five.

Set up the new local Windows user account. To do this, follow the instructions in our guide to creating a new Windows

user account to resolve any issues.

Once you have set up a new Windows local user account, log out of your current account.

Log in to the newly created user profile.

Install the Zoom app in the new account.

open the Zoom app and sign in to it.

Select to join a Zoom meeting again.

Disable Antivirus Software

Some third-party antivirus software also includes firewalls, which can potentially cause Zoom issues such as error 1132. If you’ve installed security software, turn off any third-party antivirus and firewall. There may be separate options for disabling an antivirus tool’s shield and firewall. By right-clicking your antivirus software’s system tray icon and browsing through the context menu or settings tabs, you can disable its shield and firewall (if it has one). After disabling the third-party security software, restart the Zoom app to see if the error has been resolved. If it does, create an antivirus exclusion for Zoom and allow that app through the firewall using your security software’s settings. Then, reactivate the antivirus utility’s shield protection and firewall feature.

Check your connection

Check the stability of your Internet connection. Don’t be surprised if you can’t connect to Zoom or join meetings if it’s fluctuating. Restart your modem and ensure you have the most recent router firmware version. You can also unplug all of your network devices if you haven’t done so in a while. Unplug your network devices for one minute before plugging them back in.

Reinstall the Zoom App

Download the latest Zoom client.

Open the Control Panel.

Click Programs and select Uninstall a program.

Search for Zoom and click Uninstall.

Once the uninstallation is complete, reinstall the Zoom application.

After the installation, launch the Zoom application and check if the error still occurs.

Power cycle your devices

Turn off your device and unplug the modem and router.

Wait for at least 1 minute.

Plug your modem back in and wait for it to fully connect.

Do the same with your router.

Turn on your device and launch the Zoom app.

Check if the error still exists.

Change Windows Defender Firewall Settings

Click in the search box or press the magnifying glass button in the Windows taskbar.

Type a search term for Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security in the text box.

Select Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security to access this application.

Then click Incoming Rules in the left sidebar.

Double-click any Zoom rule you find there.

Select the Protocols and Ports tab (see below).

Click the Protocol Type drop-down menu and select Any.

Select Apply to set the rule’s new protocol option.

Click OK to close the rule properties window.

Repeat steps five through nine for all Zoom rules in Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security.

Create new Windows and Zoom accounts

Launch the Settings app.

Navigate to Accounts Family & other users Add another user to this PC.

Select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information from the drop-down menu. Add a user who does not have a Microsoft account.

To complete the account creation process, enter the new user name and password and continue to follow the on-screen instructions.

Use Zoom Browser Extension

Launch the Google Chrome browser.

Make sure you are signed in to your Google account in Chrome.

Go to the Chrome Web Store to add the Zoom extension to Google Chrome.

On this page, click the Add to Chrome button.

In the pop-up, click Add App.

Before using the Zoom Chrome app, sign in to your Zoom account on the browser.

Go to the Settings option on the left pane of your profile page.

On the Meetings tab, go to In Meeting (Advanced).

Now, in the Chrome browser, type chrome://apps and press Enter.
