Steps to install pgAdmin 4 on Windows

Open your browser. Go to and select Windows

Check the options.

interactive installer by EnterpriseDB and 2) Graphical Installer by BigSQL.

BigSQL currently installs pgAdmin version 3, which is deprecated. it’s better to choose EnterpriseDB which installs the latest version 4

Select the PostgreSQL version.

You will be asked to Desired version of PostgreSQL and operating system. Select the latest version of PostgreSQL and operating system according to your environment

click on the Download Button

Open the exe file. After downloading PostgreSQL, open the downloaded file exe and click next on the installation welcome screen????????

Update location.

Change the installation directory if needed, otherwise leave it as default

Click Next

Select components.

You can choose the components that you want to install on your system. You may uncheck stack builder

Click Next

Check the location of the data.

You may change location of data

Click Next

Type the password.

Enter superuser password. write this down

Click Next

Check port option.

Let it default port number

Click Next

Check summary.

Check the Pre-installation summary:

Click Next

Ready for install???? click on the Next button????????

Check the stack builder prompt. One time installation is complete you will see Stack Builder prompt

Uncheck this option. We will use the Stack Builder in advance tutorials

Click finish

For start PostgreSQL go to Start Menu and search for pgAdmin 4

Check pgAdmin???? You will see pgAdmin home page????????

Find PostgreSQL 10. Click Servers > PostgreSQL 10 in the left tree

Type the password.

Enter superuser password set during installation

Click OK

Check Panel???? You will see the Dashboard
