How to Add and Remove a New User Account in Windows 10 PC – Guide
Do you need to delete a user account from your Windows 11 or Windows 10 computer or device? Perhaps a certain user has been corrupted or you want to block someone else’s access to your PC. If you want to remove a Microsoft account from Windows or a local one, this guide will show the methods of deleting a user account.
Windows 10 changes how user accounts work
The latest version of Windows from Microsoft makes some important changes. Guest accounts are gone, most accounts are tied to your Microsoft online account, and Windows 10 offers new permissions you can use with individual accounts.
Context up a basic account
Let’s start with the basics: how to add a new standard user account to an activated PC.
To get started, select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & Others. This process takes you to the screen where you add new users. The new default user will be part of your family. If you and a roommate share a PC, you may want to differentiate by listing your roommate’s account in the “other people” section.
First, let’s add a family member. Under the subheading “Your family”, click Add a family member.
Adult or child user

An exception to this rule can be when you really want yours. home PC to be a public terminal.
